Week 5 - Post 1
Set Two - Subway and Hungry Bear

The difference in each target market is that Subway is aiming for the young adult and the Hungry Bear is aiming for older adults.  As the subway website has a lot of information, graphics that move (websliders).  Lots of information on the web page.  The Hungry Bear has a simple for ma, the top part where you click on to get information but not live graphics or pictures of food.  Simple format.

Subway target market, is aiming for repeat guests since they change their websliders for promos.  They also offer delivery and order online, so the website can be used every day.  The website is aiming at the consumer who is worried about the planet so they have a section on what Subway is doing for the environment.

Hungry Bear aims for a person who visits the site once.  To read the menu and not online orders or delivery.  It's a simple design.  When I would hit the icons on top, they kept moving.  Older adults will like this simple format if they just want to know the menu items and prices for the menu and not much else.

The two differences in these websites is that one is a national chain and you can see they spent a lot of money in maintaining the website.  The Hungry Bear spent the bare (pun) minimum on their website.  It's a simple format, they don't have to update very much, except for a promotion that they just list and don't show pictures.  They have some bear pictures but those are more like logos than actual pics of food.

There is not much of a cross over except for a person who is hungry and is just viewing menus and prices.  The subway viewer is:
Young Adult under age 30
Educated
Different ethnicities
Both Genders
Income -any income

Hungry Bear
Older Adult - over 55 years old
Educated
Both genders
Income Medium

My conclusion is the Subway wants guests to view their website every day so they post pictures or what they are doing in the community. The Hungry Bear only wants those checking the website for job or to see what is currently on their menu but not to keep coming back.  The tone is very simple format for the Hungry Bear.

Week 16 - Part 1 - Create a schedule on which platforms

Week 16 - Part 1 -Create a Schedule on which platforms I enjoyed creating and posting on facebook and Instagram.  I feel these two areas the most effective way to grow our store's audience.  I would post once a month any new jackets that we received and build a mailing list.  I feel that our audience would be best fit if they saw some of our merchandise if it flashed on Instagram and facebook. New Arrivals - once a month When a major sporting event happens such as World Series, Super Bowl -send out a post When a new Sport Season starts such as when baseball or football starts I would post on face book and Instagram I would also write a monthly blog about a subject that is related to a sporting event. I will grow our eclub so we can send out coupons and offers on birthdays. I feel that blogging, face book, Instagram and newsletters will work best with our jacket store.  We can do $100 a month on social media posts dividing among face book and some google with keywor
Weeky 10 - Blogging for Business - First Post Bogging for business is new to me. But after reading about blogging, I can see how this can help a service and business.  I went ahead and made a business blog, here is the link: https://leatherdirectcolorado.blogspot.com/2019/04/is-it-still-hip-to-wear-nfl- I added these blog icons to my pages to see how it would work.  I think if the blog goes out, it may engage potential buyers in buying jackets.  I can see how this would be good for professional services.  It is a good tool with a creative mind to make people aware of the service or business by reading a blog. Week 10 - Blogging for Business - Second Post I posted two facebook posts and scheduled them AND linked to Instagram with my blog tag. I liked all my classmates facebook pages, twitter and instagrams accounts.  I added comments to their posts. To stay organized on a blog, I would map out the month and blog same time each week.  I would plan ahead of times topics
